Who is Proactive Data Systems?

Proactive Data Systems is a Cisco Preferred Partner and IT infrastructure systems integrator headquartered in Delhi NCR, India, founded in 1991. Proactive designs, builds, and manages enterprise IT across six architectures - Networks, Data Center, Cybersecurity, Digital Workplace, Structured Cabling, and Infrastructure Management Services - for more than 1,500 enterprises across India and global capability centers.

What does "Cisco Preferred Partner" mean for a customer?

Cisco Preferred Partner is a tier in Cisco's reorganized partner program recognizing partners with deep technical specialisations, validated customer success, and Customer Experience capability. For customers, it means direct Cisco-backed engineering, priority access to escalation paths, and pre-validated architectures. Proactive additionally holds the Cisco Advanced CX Specialised certification.

Do you work with both large enterprises and growing businesses?

Yes. Proactive serves three audiences: large enterprises (1,000+ employees, complex multi-site estates), mid-market and growing businesses (100–1,000 employees scaling fast), and Global Capability Centers (GCCs) setting up or scaling in India. Engagement models, billing structures, and service levels are tailored to each.

How does Proactive help with the DPDP Act and CERT-In compliance?

Proactive's Cybersecurity practice maps controls to the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 and the CERT-In Directions of April 2022 - including the 6-hour incident-reporting mandate, log-retention requirements, and data-localization expectations. Implementations cover network segmentation, NGFW, EDR, SIEM/SOC, and DLP, with audit-ready evidence packs.

What's the difference between Cisco Meraki and Cisco Catalyst, and which should I choose?

Cisco Meraki is cloud-managed networking optimized for distributed environments - retail, branch, education - with simple zero-touch deployment. Cisco Catalyst is the on-premises enterprise switching and wireless platform optimized for high-density campuses and data centers. Many Proactive customers run both: Catalyst at HQ and DCs, Meraki at branches and retail. Proactive holds specialisations in both.

Do you offer managed services, or only project-based delivery?

Both. Proactive runs a 24/7 service desk (toll-free 1800 202 6711) and operates dedicated managed services for Cisco Meraki, Cisco Webex Calling, and managed firewall practices. Customers who buy managed services get named Customer Success Managers, quarterly business reviews, and uptime SLAs of up to 99.95%.

How long does a typical Cisco Webex Calling migration take?

For a mid-size enterprise (1,000–5,000 seats), Proactive's typical Webex Calling migration runs 6–10 weeks from kickoff to cutover, including number porting, dial plan design, endpoint deployment, user training, and post-cutover hypercare. Larger migrations (10,000+ seats) are phased in 8–16 week tranches. Lohia Corp's 12,000-seat migration completed in 8 weeks.

Can Proactive set up infrastructure for a new GCC in India?

Yes. Proactive operates a dedicated GCC practice covering Day-1 facility connectivity, secure landing zones, identity integration, end-user device provisioning, and ongoing managed operations. Active deployments span Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Chennai, and Delhi NCR. We support 30+ GCCs and integrate with global parent-company stacks (Cisco, Microsoft, Okta, Zscaler, etc.).
