The first is legal. India's Digital Personal Data Protection framework, with substantive obligations taking effect from 13 May 2027, makes where certain data and models live a compliance question rather than an architectural preference. A support contract signed at headquarters means little at 2 a.m. in a Pune data center if the spare part is in another country and the nearest certified engineer is a time zone away.
